1. About Scotland AI

This website is operated by Hardeep Layal, trading as Scotland AI.

Email: hello@scotlandai.co.uk

Address: 31 Ashby Crescent, Glasgow, G13 2NU

2. Acceptance of these terms

By using this website or its scanner, you agree to these terms. If you purchase a Website Action Report, the additional purchase terms below also apply. If you do not agree, please stop using the website.

3. What the scanner and reports do

The free scanner reviews selected information returned by a publicly accessible website address and produces an automated score and findings based on a limited set of technical, content, accessibility, conversion and search-engine optimisation signals.

A paid Website Action Report may assess additional publicly accessible pages within the product scope shown at the time of purchase and provides a more detailed automated diagnostic and prioritised action plan.

Neither the free scan nor a paid report is a penetration test, formal accessibility audit, legal or regulatory review, security certification, guaranteed SEO ranking, guaranteed revenue result or guarantee that an AI assistant or search engine will recommend a business.

4. Permitted use

You may use the website for lawful business purposes.

You must not:

  • attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls;
  • submit local, private, restricted or malicious network addresses;
  • use the scanner to harass, disrupt, overload or unlawfully profile another person or organisation;
  • introduce malware, automated abuse or harmful code into the website;
  • copy, reverse engineer or commercially reproduce the scanner, reports or website without permission; or
  • use the service in breach of any applicable law.

We may restrict or block access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or other users.

5. Accuracy and reliance

Results are automated indicators based on the public website content and technical responses available at the time of the assessment. Websites, search systems and technical conditions change, and automated checks can occasionally produce incomplete or inaccurate results.

We do not guarantee that a score, finding or recommendation is complete, error-free or suitable for every purpose. You remain responsible for deciding whether to act on any recommendation and for obtaining specialist advice where appropriate.

6. Third-party websites

The scanner and report service fetch publicly accessible information from website addresses submitted by users or assessed for legitimate business review purposes. Scotland AI does not control or endorse third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices.

7. Website Action Report purchases

The Website Action Report is a one-off digital service sold at the price and scope displayed at checkout. A contract for that report is formed when payment is successfully confirmed and the order is accepted for processing.

The information you provide must be accurate enough for us to process the order. You are responsible for supplying the correct website address and email address.

Reports are normally generated automatically after payment and delivered electronically to the email address supplied. Technical issues, third-party website availability or unusual website behaviour may delay or prevent generation. If a report cannot be completed, we may retry processing, contact you for clarification or provide an appropriate refund.

A paid report is based on the website as it appeared when assessed. Later changes to the website do not make the original report inaccurate at the time it was produced and do not create an automatic right to a new report.

8. Other paid services

An enquiry about website work, SEO, automation, AI services or other support does not by itself create a contract or oblige Scotland AI to provide the work.

Paid work other than a directly purchased Website Action Report will normally be governed by a separate written proposal, scope, quotation or agreement accepted by both parties. We will state what is included, the price, payment arrangements and any material third-party costs before work begins.

9. Consumer cancellation rights

Scotland AI services are primarily offered for business use. If you purchase wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession and qualify as a consumer, statutory consumer rights may apply in addition to these terms.

Where a cancellation period applies, information about the right to cancel and the effect of asking us to begin supplying the service immediately will be provided before purchase. If you expressly ask us to begin during a cancellation period, you may have to pay for work supplied before cancellation where the law permits. Once a service has been fully performed after the required request and acknowledgement, a cancellation right may end.

To request cancellation, email hello@scotlandai.co.uk with your name, order reference and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Payments

Payments for products purchased directly through the website are processed by Stripe. Scotland AI does not receive or store the full card details you enter on Stripe's checkout service.

Prices displayed at checkout are the amount payable for the stated product unless a valid promotion or other adjustment is applied. Any applicable tax treatment will be handled in accordance with the information displayed and the law that applies to the transaction.

11. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the Scotland AI name, site design, text, graphics, code, scanner presentation, report templates and original content are owned by or licensed to Scotland AI.

A customer may use a report supplied to them for their own internal business purposes and may share it with advisers, employees or contractors working on the relevant website. The report template, software and underlying Scotland AI materials may not be copied, resold or commercially reproduced without written permission.

12. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend or withdraw parts of the website or free scanner where reasonably necessary. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not responsible for delays caused by networks, hosting providers, payment providers, third-party websites or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Changes to the website do not alter a paid order already accepted unless this is necessary to comply with law or is agreed with the customer.

13. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Subject to that and to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, Scotland AI is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business, loss of data or decisions made solely in reliance on an automated scan or report.

The free website and scanner are provided on an "as available" basis. Liability connected with other separately agreed implementation or consultancy services will be governed by the agreement for those services.

14. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by Scots law. The Scottish courts will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

16. Contact

Questions about these terms, an order or a cancellation request can be sent to hello@scotlandai.co.uk.
